Creative Morning Lausanne: Perspective

Maryll (Laboratoi/RE co founder) trained as a designer/pattern maker/seamstress at the Mode et Style school in Lausanne. After an internship with Anne Lombard she met Patricia with whom, at the age of 21, she opened the atelier-boutique Laboratoire in October 2000. Since then she’s been on a journey full of discoveries, encounters and challenges… always evolving. The Laboratoi/RE boutique is now located at rue Mercerie 16 in Lausanne.

In the shop, you’ll find primarily Swiss designers, working in an environmentally- and people-friendly way. In the basement of the boutique is the atelier, where limited edition pieces are produced, all using only what already exists (old collections, second-hand clothes, any dormant textile).

Maryll’s leitmotif is always to speak the truth, whether in her personal life or in her professional practice.
